Tom Brady Facing Backlash For Controversial Comment During Bears vs. Cowboys
While fans have already questioned Tom Brady’s chops in the booth, a strange comment during Sunday’s broadcast of Bears-Cowboys has only led to more critiques for the seven-time Super Bowl champ.
The GOAT is currently facing backlash for what he said during George Pickens’ sideline outburst in the fourth quarter of Dallas’ 31-14 loss — which had animal lovers and activists up in arms upon hearing it.

As the Cowboys offense continued to sputter, Pickens took his helmet and slammed it to the ground in frustration; leading to a strange moment where Brady seemed to reference taking his anger out on a dog.

Brady makes bizarre ‘dog’ comment
Brady’s comment came in the fourth quarter where he said to partner Kevin Burkhardt: “Those helmets can be— it’s like the dog at home. Kick the dog, throw the helmet. Whatever it takes.”
Burkhardt didn’t react to the QB’s remark as the sequence faded to a commercial break, and it wasn’t brought back up for the rest of the broadcast.

One place that didn’t let it slide was the internet, however, and fans quickly took to social media to share their opinions on TB12’s statement.
Fans ‘disgusted’ on X
“‘Kick the dog, throw the helmet, whatever it takes’ … Is Tom Brady abusing dogs in his home??” an Eagles fan asked.
“Tom Brady comparing a player slamming his helmet in anger to kicking your dog at home isn’t the color commentary I was expecting,” WCCO anchor Jeff Wagner shared.
“Did Tom Brady just admit to beating his dog on national television? … Wtf 😭” a user cried.

“Tom Brady just admitted to kicking his dog at home…” another person pointed out.
“Tom Brady: ‘those helmets can be like dogs at home…kick the dog, throw a helmet.’ What the actual f—k?!” another fan posted. “Disgusting.”
Brady’s concerning comment definitely seemed to come out of nowhere and was interesting to hear — especially from a man who’s a known dog owner.
We’re not sure what exactly was going through his head when he decided to say what he said, but the 15-time Pro Bowler has yet to address the remark and may just attempt to move on from it as he and FOX shift their focus to the NFL‘s fourth week.
