Starting RG Walker Parks active vs LSU

CLEMSON — Clemson football starting right guard Walker Parks is active against LSU, according to a Clemson team spokesperson.

Parks came out during warmups to stretch and work on pass-blocking drills. Yet, Harris Sewell and Elyjah Thurmon both were announced as starters at right guard over Parks.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Parks, who suffered an injury in the team’s first scrimmage Aug. 9, was trending to play after practicing ahead of the Clemson-LSU game on Aug. 30 (7:52 p.m. ET, ABC) at Memorial Stadium.

The ACC is introducing official availability reports for conference games only, so Clemson did not provide a typical personnel update before the game. Clemson will do so ahead of kickoff in the Georgia Tech game on Sept. 13 (noon ET, ABC or ESPN).

Parks has been a stalwart on the Tigers’ offensive line, starting in every game in 2021, 2022 and 2024 and being one of 28 Clemson players to play over 2,500 career snaps. He was among four end-of-year starting offensive linemen in 2024 to return to Clemson.

Cornerback Jeadyn Lukus and safety Khalil Barnes warmed up ahead of the game. Both suffered injuries in preseason that did not allow them to participate in Clemson’s scrimmages.
