Sold-out crowd awaits No. 18 Creighton vs. No. 1 Nebraska in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – No. 18 Creighton volleyball’s upcoming showdown with top-ranked Nebraska at the CHI Health Center is officially sold out, the school announced Monday.

Tuesday night’s match is expected to draw a capacity crowd of 17,352. If the full allotment of tickets is used, the Bluejays could reclaim the NCAA record for the largest regular-season, volleyball-only indoor crowd.

That mark currently belongs to a 2023 matchup in Milwaukee, when Marquette hosted Wisconsin before 17,037 fans at Fiserv Forum.

Parking lots are scheduled to open at 3:30 p.m. CT, with arena doors opening at 5 p.m. School officials encouraged fans to plan ahead and arrive early because of ongoing road construction near the arena that could cause delays.

The Bluejays (5-4), return to the CHI Health Center for the first time this season. The program just installed a new Taraflex court, among other improvements, at D.J. Sokol Arena.

Nebraska (8-0) has held the No. 1 spot for four consecutive weeks in the AVCA poll.
