Shaboozey Lights Up The Pinnacle With Grit & Soul

Last night (Sept. 30) at The Pinnacle, Shaboozey delivered a dynamic performance that showcased both his genre-blending sound and natural connection with the crowd as part of his “The Great American Roadshow Tour.” The sold-out show had fans packed in to sing, sway and raise a toast with the rising star.
After an opening set from Kevin Powers, the video screen played a video featuring Shaboozey and his bus driver on the road. Throughout the playful video, the bus driver is trying to reconnect the GPS to signal, while reminiscing about his days driving Willie Nelson. Eventually, the GPS connects, and the bus drops Shaboozey and his band off in Nashville, with the singer hitting the stage.
He opened with “Last of My Kind,” powering onstage. He then went into heartbreak tune “Annabelle” with his guitar. From there, he rolled into “Blink Twice” and “Tall Boy,” with the crowd warming up fast, shouting lyrics back by the time “Drink Don’t Need No Mix” kicked in.
Switching between high-energy anthems and stripped-back moments, Shaboozey picked up his guitar again for “Vegas” and “Highway,” both of which landed with a quieter intensity note.
Mid-set surprises included a lively appearance by opener Powers for “Move On,” followed by a rowdy, crowd-approved cover of Hank Williams Jr.’s “Family Tradition” that got nearly everyone singing along.
The mood shifted again with “Finally Over” and “Good News,” both delivered with emotional weight, before the night’s second guest, Stephen Wilson Jr., joined for a powerful rendition of “Took a Walk.”
As the night neared its peak, “Horses & Hellcats” lit the place up, and when Shaboozey returned to his guitar for “Let It Burn,” fans instinctively raised their phones, lighting the venue in a soft glow.
In a move that reflected his genuine appreciation, Shaboozey stepped offstage mid-show to greet fans, signing items and chatting briefly, bringing an extra layer of connection to the night.
“I’m just so grateful for Nashville and what this place has given me,” Shaboozey said to the crowd. “I just want to celebrate my memories here. This is where history was made multiple times with y’all. This is where I found my home, my people. This is where some of the greatest moments of my entire life happened.”
He wrapped with the emotional “Amen,” before launching into the explosive closer, his massive hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” The singalong was huge, rowdy, joyful and unifying.
Shaboozey will continue his “The Great American Roadshow Tour” tomorrow (Oct. 1) in Birmingham, followed by stops in New Orleans, Houston, Fort Worth, St. Petersburg, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, before heading to Australia to close out the year.
