Man found dead inside Anaheim home
ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) — An Anaheim community is on edge after a man was found dead inside a home, triggering a homicide investigation.
Officers found the man’s body Monday afternoon and determined he had been killed, according to Sgt. Jon McClintock with the Anaheim Police Department.
Video from the scene shows evidence marks next to what appear to be drops of blood dotting the property’s driveway.
Police only said the victim appeared to be in his 40s, but could not provide information about how he died. They did, however, confirm that no arrests have been made.
“We hope to provide further information when the investigation allows,” said McClintock, adding that there was no danger to the public.
Eyewitness News spoke to plenty of neighbors who were fearful of going on camera. Those who did said they rarely saw anyone at the home.
“I don’t try to be too nosy. It’s not my business to do that,” said Antoinette Hernandez. “I’ve just seen people just pull up in the driveway and they go inside and you don’t see anybody anymore.”
The uncertainty about what exactly happened has left some residents worried.
“It’s very upsetting not knowing what happened,” said Audrey Lewis, another neighbor.
The investigation is ongoing.
