A winter weather advisory will continue into mid-morning Friday, Dec. 12. Some schools have opted to delay classes or shift to remote learning.
Snowfall totals could reach up to 4 inches in some areas “with locally higher amounts possible,” the National Weather Service in Indianapolis predicts. A winter weather advisory will remain in effect until at least 10 a.m.
Along with snow, drivers can expect icy and slippery road conditions early Friday and temperatures predicted to remain below freezing well into the day.
Snow will continue into pre-dawn hours, w/the back edge now slowly crossing central IL. Heavier bands near/south of Bloomington will bring widespread moderate storm totals to these zones, with noticeably less for Indy and points north.
