The Baldwin family is as big as it is bonded. Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, have built a bustling household of seven children since marrying in 2012, welcoming their youngest, daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena, in September 2022. Now, alongside raising their busy brood, Hilaria is stepping into the spotlight herself as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars“.
Their growing crew includes daughters Carmen Gabriela, María Lucía Victoria, and Ilaria, as well as sons Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David, and Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas. Alec is also dad to Ireland Baldwin, his oldest daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
In a 2023 interview with Romper, Hilaria admitted that Ilaria is “probably, most definitely, almost completely” their last baby, though she joked about still keeping her maternity clothes “just in case.”
Ahead of their TLC series “The Baldwins”, Alec added that despite joking about what life might look like without a big brood, he “wouldn’t change anything.” Here’s all about their kids.
Carmen Gabriela, 11
Alec and Hilaria’s first child together, Carmen, was born on Aug. 23, 2013, just a year after their marriage. As the oldest, Carmen has stepped into the spotlight herself. In December 2024, she and Hilaria co-authored Glowing Up: Recipes to Rock Your Natural Beauty, a guide to confidence and self-care.
Hilaria praised her daughter’s creativity, saying, “She has made her own skincare products from our kitchen for years, learning what ingredients are beneficial, measuring, experimenting.”
Carmen shared that her dream was to pass her recipes on to other kids and their families.
Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo & Eduardo
Hilaria gave birth to their first son, Rafael, on June 17, 2015. Alec proudly called his wife his “hero,” praising her strength during labor.
A year later, on Sept. 12, 2016, Leonardo was born and quickly earned the nickname “Leoncito” from his dad.
Their third son, Romeo, arrived on May 17, 2018. Hilaria admitted that the couple almost named him Diego, only to change their minds days before his birth. In 2024, she shared that Romeo needed stitches after a fall but was “a champ” about it.
Eduardo “Edu,” their fourth son, was born on Sept. 8, 2020, after Hilaria suffered two miscarriages. She called him their “rainbow baby” and often shares photos of him bonding with his siblings.
María Lucía, Ilaria & Ireland
María Lucía Victoria, known as Lucía, joined the family via surrogate on Feb. 25, 2021, making Carmen’s wish for a sister come true.
Hilaria described her arrival as “a dream come true.”
The couple’s seventh child, Ilaria, was born on September 22, 2022. Alec and Hilaria shared that welcoming her was “just as magical and filled with love as every other little person we have been blessed with.”
Alec’s oldest daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 29, was born in 1995 during his marriage to Kim Basinger. Despite early struggles in their relationship, Alec and Ireland have repaired their bond. Ireland has since welcomed her own daughter, giving Alec the role of grandfather alongside his full-time dad duties.
The Baldwins continue to celebrate life as a family of nine, balancing parenthood and career commitments. Whether through book projects with Carmen, heartwarming Instagram posts, or Hilaria’s new role as a reality dance show competition, the Baldwin brood has evolved into a loving unit where every child plays a unique and special role.
