Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are going to be parents!

The Hawkeye actress and her Buffalo Bills quarterback husband, both 29, are expecting their first baby together. Steinfeld announced her pregnancy news in her Substack newsletter, sharing a round-up of her 29 favorite moments from the past year in honor of her 29th birthday.

At the end of her list, Steinfeld included a video which announced her pregnancy. The actress could be seen posing in the snow with her pregnant belly out as Allen kissed her stomach. They could then be seen smiling and posing together as the star wore a fleece that read “mother” across it.

When the video concluded, it panned out to reveal the two holding hands in front of a tiny snowman.

Shortly after their newsletter announcement, the couple shared a joint Instagram post with the same video. “I love you ❤️,” Allen commented on the clip.

The Pitch Perfect 2 star spoke with Bustle in an interview in November and gave a few rare comments about life with her husband. As she explained that “life makes sense” after marrying Allen, Steinfeld was asked if she’s thinking about kids.

“Of course,” the actress replied without hesitation.

In the same interview, she opened up about her marriage to Allen, saying that she’s forever grateful to have found her person.

“I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world,” Steinfeld said. “Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”

Steinfeld and Allen, who first started dating in 2023, tied the knot in Santa Barbara, Calif., on May 31. In a June edition of her Beau Society email newsletter, the actress shared all the “magical” details about her wedding weekend.

“I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time,” Steinfeld wrote. “Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads, and we’ve been blurting them out to each other, often through smiles, laughs and tears.”

She continued: “It felt like love was running through the veins of every tree at our gorgeous venue in Santa Barbara. Our family and friends coming together amplified it.”

Then, in October, Steinfeld shared the “greatest thing” about being married to her husband in a new interview with Variety. 

“What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule. So it’s actually a blessing — I try to organize my time so I can be where he is,” Steinfeld told the outlet.

When Allen is in the midst of his football season, the actress takes the opportunity to slow down a bit to be by his side.

“This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me,” she said.

Steinfeld explained to the outlet that it’s been a nice change of pace in her relationship with Allen.

“I’ve never lived this part of life before — outside of my work. I’ve gotten a lot better at understanding what it means to slow down and to share that with someone,” she said. “That’s the greatest thing ever.”
