US Representative Troy Nehls announces retirement


WASHINGTON, Nov 29 (Reuters) ​- U.S.‌ Representative Troy Nehls announced ‌on Saturday that he would not seek re-election at the end of ⁠the current ‌congressional term.

“I have made the decision,‍ after conversations with my beautiful bride and my girls ​over the Thanksgiving holiday,‌ to focus on my family and return home after this Congress,” Nehls said in ⁠a statement.

Nehls, ​a Texas ​Republican, said he spoke to President Donald ‍Trump before ⁠making the decision.
