With six teams on bye during NFL’s Week 8, we would probably assume that quarterbacks for fantasy football lineups might be difficult to come by.

However, two of the biggest star QBs in the league — Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson — tag back in for their managers

Given the combination of the ascension of midrange quarterbacks and some enticing matchups this week, quarterbacks sit in abundance outside of superflex/2QB setups, so adjustments can easily be made.

Who are the best Week 8 fantasy QBs?

Patrick Mahomes skyrockets back into the elite tier with the return of wide receiver Rashee Rice from suspension, and he tops our initial QB rankings.

Following him are the usual suspects Baker Mayfield (at Saints), Jalen Hurts (vs. Giants), Drake Maye (vs. Browns, fresh off a 91% completion rate in Week 7), and Jayden Daniels (at Chiefs).

Which fantasy QB sleepers should I stream for Week 8?

Bo Nix gets a bump facing the Dallas Cowboys’ defense, which ranks among the easiest units for fantasy quarterbacks.

As the Atlanta Falcons offense finds its groove since the Week 5 bye, Michael Penix Jr. welcomes a Charmin-soft matchup with the disintegrating Miami Dolphins. The southpaw probably will get an even bigger upgrade as the week goes on.

The Baltimore Ravens likely will still have many injury troubles, especially with their basement-dwelling defense. This puts the Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams squarely in place for a profitable fantasy weekend.

Especially if they’re without CB Sauce Gardner (concussion), the New York Jets will allow Joe Flacco’s Cincinnati Bengals wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to fly all over the field.

Which quarterbacks rank as fantasy Week 8 busts?

Dak Prescott could have trouble putting up elite numbers on the road against a tough Denver Broncos defense, especially with the continued trouble Dallas’ offensive line has with top pass-rush units.

Jaxson Dart of course has the legs to get himself out of trouble, but playing the Philadelphia Eagles in such close quarters within a few weeks should tip us off that the experienced Philly defense and coaching staff will have enough tape to stifle him. Start him if byes are a problem, but his ceiling is capped.
