A spokesperson for Keanu Reeves shut down marriage rumors after a social media account posted that he tied the knot along with AI-generated photos.

Keanu Reeves‘s partner, mixed media artist Alexandra Grant, is setting the record straight that she and the A-list actor are not newlyweds despite rumors circulating online.
Grant debunked that she and the “John Wick” actor had gotten married in a wholesome Instagram post shared on Thursday, Sept. 25. She shared a photo of the couple kissing at James Turrell’s Roden Crater, located in northern Arizona.
“This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!” Grant captioned the post. “Albeit maybe the moment right before or after it… given the slightly goofy expressions on our faces!”
“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married,” she wrote. “Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”
The couple was at the popular volcanic cone as Reeves and his business partner, Gard Hollinger, were interviewing Turrell, known in the art world as the “master of light,” for a docuseries titled “Visionaries.”
Premiering earlier this year, the series follows Reeves and Hollinger, who co-founded the Arch Motorcycle brand in 2011, as they meet with creative professionals for inspiration on creating the perfect motorcycle, according to Reuters.
When did Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant meet?
The pair hard-launched their relationship in 2019 with their first red carpet appearance at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in LA. It’s unclear when they met, but the pair worked on the 2011 book “Ode to Happiness,” where Reeves wrote poetry and Grant handled illustrations.
In a September 2024 interview with People magazine, Grant discussed how her relationship with Reeves has positively impacted her artistic work, with one friend saying her “work has gotten happier.”
“That’s real. We’re all human beings. We’re animals,” she told the outlet. “We’re expressing from where we are and certainly feeling happier. I think the work is happier.”
