Driver hits children and woman crossing the street in Eden Prairie; child critically injured

Eden Prairie Police are looking for the person responsible for a hit-and-run that seriously injured a child.
They say it happened at Mitchell Road and Chestnut Drive just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators say a woman and four children were crossing the street in a crosswalk. The woman was pulling two of the children a wagon. They say that’s when a white sedan hit the woman and the children in the wagon. Police say the driver of the sedan fled the scene.
One of the children is in critical condition. The woman and other child are expected to be OK.
